Car Rider Drop-off & Pick-up
Car Rider Drop-Off and Pick-Up
The following information will help with the safety and ease of picking up students. Please know that the first week of school we have new parents getting used to the pick-up procedures. First and foremost, we must remember that these procedures are for the safety of your child and others.
For the safety of all children, student drop off and pick-up is ONLY on campus. Students are not to be dropped off or picked up on the street in front of the school or areas surrounding the school.
In the morning, cars should pull through one of the two lines and proceed to the end of the row. Students will walk down the median and cross the crosswalk to the building. Do not pull into parking spaces to drop off your student. Adults should stay in the vehicle at all times.
In the afternoon the main office parking lot is for bus riders only. There are three lines for car pick-up. Two lines are located in the gym parking lot and one line is located on the service road behind the school. Do not pull into parking spaces to pick up your student. Stay in your vehicle at all times. If you do not see your student, school staff can assist you.
Car Rider Parking Lot "Right In-Right Out"
- You must pull into the gym parking lot from the Forest Drive direction making a right hand turn.
- Pull all the way up to the nearest car in line.
- Empty parking spaces are safe zones for students. Pull as close to the spaces as possible, but do not enter the safety zone.
- Once your student is loaded, you may merge into the exit lane and pull to the traffic attendants for a safe exit. Remember to check your surroundings before merging into traffic.
All traffic will be directed to make a right turn out of the gym parking lot.
Service Road Pick-Up
- Enter the service road by turning between the Carriage Hill apartments and the 7th Grade wing of the school.
- The first car in line should pull all the way around the bend beside the baseball field and up to the parking area.
Please follow the directions of the staff assigned to assist with pickup.
